The only time the CF issues out the PASGT these days is in St-Jean for BMQ when the Gallet comes into short supply. I know there were one or two guys on my basic that got issued them until more stock arrived.
As for a reasonable facsimile, the PASGT would do you fine, even closer yet if you got one of the USGI Airborne chinstraps. Otherwise a MICH 2000 would also work the role. It's up to you.
