I don't think it is fair to say what is appropriate for other people. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. Our economy is sucking, people are pulling back from "extravagances" more and more.
Sure, my personal opinion is most people should be able to save up with over half of a year to go... but everyone is different. I don't think you have anything to worry about, this event will draw from a larger region than most games, it is being marketing far in advance of the event and frankly it is a mint location for airsoft.
