The latest JG HK416's seem to have really strong springs in them...the couple I've seen are shooting over 400fps (410-420fps). I was working on a JG M4 RIS the other night and it was right around 380fps. I didn't get to see the compression of the 416 parts...it was all buttoned up already.
The nut for the piston head screw in the JG M4 that I saw was pretty big. I haven't seen a stock TM one for a while, so I can't quote actual measurements, but I would watch out for a long/thick-coil spring running out of room with both a bearing spring guide and a stock piston-head combo.
With the m100 I put into it (after tuning things up), the rifle ended shooting 380fps...right at the power level it started at. I ended up putting in a M90 and it shot 354-356fps (hopup off) in the end. Now the springs might have been mis-labled/packaged...but I've had this happen on more than one build. Most likely attributable to the bearing guide and piston-head nut combo.
Anyway...get a variety of springs m90-m100-m110 and chronograph after your build...keep the other springs for later or sell them.
