The gearbox wouldn't rust, seeing as how it has no iron content. Pretty much all gearboxes are made of some zinc-aluminum composite.
The only iron/steel parts found on a stock Tokyo Marui gun are some CNC'ed metal bushings - ie Guarder and the screws found throughout the gun.
Besides that, there isn't much else that can rust. Some aftermarket companies (or other gun companies) have higher iron content in the components, such as Guarder steel outer barrels or G&G guns. The coating should protect them, but there's still the possibility of external oxidation.
