It's hard to understand why gas/pneumatic toys are so much fun if you have no experience with them.

Not so hard to understand that using pneumatics, (as far as I can tell) usually requires a whole lot fewer moving parts than what would go into say, an AEG. Fewer parts usually = Higher reliability and lower repair costs.

Kinda the same reason that electronic paintball guns need constant attention, and some mechanical ones have been kicking around for decades. All you have to do is replace something here and there, and change o-rings now and then.

I'd take a reliable gas gun over an AEG in the blink of an eye, if they were available.

I'd be tempted to buy one of the RAP4 markers with a stockpile of the rubber shot & casings to just shoot indoors, and for the joy of owning/using. Specially since the local range just got shut down :banghead:

The airsoft conversion, dialed down and tuned would make for a fun, battery free party for me too.

But whatever, if you can't find a reason to buy one... Don't.

Apparently they're built tough, relatively aesthetically pleasing, they're pneumatic... If they weren't so expensive, that'd be the perfect list of reasons I personally would want one.

Only thing is, I don't hear much about long term reliability...
