The newer CA MP5's are pretty good, but you can't beat a TM with a metal body. If it were my money, I'd go with TM.
If you plan on playing a fair bit outdoors in Manitoba (and upgrading the gun with only a mild spring and bushings that will allow you to play both XT and outdoors) I'd personally go for a solid stock and a large battery. A mini battery dies pretty quick trying to crank a PDI 150% or SP110 spring.
Personally, I'd avoid ICS MP5's. The three or four I've seen in Manitoba over the long haul have been nothing but money pits.
