Semi-auto: you pull the trigger and it goes bang; it doesn't go bang again until you release the trigger and pull it again;
Full-auto (auto): you pull the trigger and it keeps going bang until you release the trigger.
There's a button (dial) that lets you switch between SAFE, SEMI and AUTO.
I'm curious, why are you interested in buying an airsoft gun?
