If the ak has 4 screws on the bottom (2 in mag well and 2 next to the mag well), it is a TM spec.
If it doesn't, most likely a VFC/LCT spec.
There are other systems, for example, I think ICS ak uses a system slightly different from both, and of course there is also Real Sword. But other systems are rare.
If you know the maker and model number of your ak that will help.
