He's been part of St.Petersburg's OMON for the past 11 years and really enjoys that Aimpoint I sent him before one of his tours to the southern region of the country.
Russian spec ops use non Russian weapons and equipment all the time... MP5's, Glocks, all kinds of shotguns etc... They use Aimpoints, Eotechs and even Elcans. You will see fancy toys used mostly by team A or V simply because they get good stuff issued to them while most guys from OMON are regular cops with extra training who don't get paid well and have to buy fancy optics, armor etc themselves.
