i have a decent understanding of all the elements that go into creating FPS..

What im saying is that everything else seems to be buttoned up pretty tight.. all my compression parts are pretty air tight...

I am pretty sure that a stronger spring will just throw me too far over the 400FPS limit. I probably won't be upgrading the spring strength in this particular set up... it's not the spring that will provide the source of the torque need..Nobody seems to be responding to the question of this blowback/recoil engine. Does anybody have experience with these? This has to add to the need for a higher torque set up.. i'm less concerned about the spring strength being too weak than i am about that heavy weight sitting on top of the gearbox and being pulled back by the motor and piston/gears. This is the whole reason why i replaced the stock motor with the SHS motor.

the way im thinking is that im not just running a high torque set up on a little M120 spring.. i'm running it on an M120 spring with a beast of a counter weight to pull with it... that has got to count for something and make the high torque gears/motor make sense?

I'll wrap up the actual work this weekend and know how it's going to work.. all airsoft theory right now

i guess im just concerned that if right off the bat everybody thinks this is destined to fail.. then i'd rather save the time/effort and money and change my plan of attack
