What is the "line marked" you are referring to?
Here's a video of the slide assembly take down on the G17. Fast Forward to the end. You kinda have to force the hop up unit in there but gently. If you just keep banging at it, you'll damage the inner barrel, the bucking and hop up unit itselt. But once it's in, the hop up unit should be able to move about whilst inside the chamber of the outer barrel.

There is a notch on the hop up unit near the hop up chamber (where the BB enters) that will prevent you from inserting the unit into the outer barrel.. You need to lift that above the edge and then slide the hop up into place. |
I got it in already lol I thought it was supposed to go further
But I cant figure out how to get this weird part back in its like a u shaped clip/spring with a v shaped notch sticking out on one side, I think maybe it has something to do with the slide release? its not shown on the parts diagram...
