I'm a big advocate of XT60 but I've always also thrown in the "not for everyone" caveat in there.

Deans really is the mass market solution here and what we should be recommending to new players (and what we should be asking for if/when manufacturers survey us about this topic).

People who go with EC3, Trax, or XT60 are usually experts at soldering and can swap out the connectors in a matter of seconds anyway -- they're personal preference type connectors.
