I bought a set of Madbull's rubbers (the Sharks) and it was so tight on my Prommy inner barrel that when I tried putting it in the hopup unit it was deforming the bucking quite a lot. So I would say it add some truth to this "rumor"
FWIW, Madbull do state that the Shark bucking doesn't fits all barrels
