+1 to MOSFET, it's the only thing that will solve your issue.
Lowering your discharge rating on a LiPo can be extremely dangerous, and it doesn't prevent or reduce trigger arcing what so ever.
The C rating is the MAX amperage that can be drawn from your battery continuously, not it's constant discharge. If you draw more than you're rated for, the battery sets on fire.
And high grade wiring will effectively increase the amount of current going through your trigger contacts, so it would actually make the problem worse unless you had a MOSFET.
