For personal protection I'll take real steel over airsoft every day of the week. Seriously... Lead vs Plastic... think about it.
But back on the topic of British Airsoft being crushed, I don't see what we can do besides signing ineffectual petitions and wait and see what happens. People with British citizenship could always write their MP back home for the area their family lives but I'd co-ordinate that with the folks at ASCUK, they have some well written letters that you can use.
