Why the heck are we trying to find lower cost options than O-rings?
Seriously, How cheap are you people?
Once you find a location that has o-rings that fit, you order a few dozen and your good to go. Teflon tape can cause the fine threading to skip thread or even just strip if your not careful and I would not recommend it.
But then again, your toys.
