I was a hair's breadth from buying one...had dibs on one early on. But a buddy got one first and it was a nightmare.

When he finally got it working it was sweet as sin...one of the best (not kidding) electric mechboxes re. performance.

But the issues and $$$$ getting a working platform was the clincher for me.

Having said that, I jumped into the PTW pool...and I have 2. Love 'em. Once they were reliable (the first one was a little iffy, the second one I knew enough about them to fiddle with it myself) they're gold. Nothing electric compares. Having said that....with the $$$$ and the chances of something not working with them, I cannot fault people for not adopting the PTW.

Same with the Revolution mechbox. Nice idea...sound engineering...poor implementation. Add to that the marginal market place for it (it's an uphill fight to get those mechboxes into "traditional" AEG guns that already have a mechbox)...then compound it with a really stiff price tag...and you don't end up with a market beating combination.

Anything that expensive that doesn't blow the socks off of 90% of the early adopters is doomed.
