AGM MP40 - Review

The AGM mp40 is a great gun for the heer or Waffen SS impression.

PROS : the AGM is affordable compare to the 8mm Marushin version and the Top
It weights 8lbs which is a decent amount for an airsoft gun.
The gun is solid and the plastic part are not wobbly.
The rate of fire is decent with a 9.6 V battery
The receiver has the correct markings.
The metal is decent quality (better than VFC)

INTERNALS : The gears and the gearbox shell are metals
The spring guide is made of plastic
The bushings are made of plastic

CONS : the folding stock is a bit wobbly
Low cap only unless you modify a bit the plastic piece holding the mag
in order to fit the king arms mid-cap. (ehobbyasia has the king arms mags)

The plastic can easily scratches.
The gearbox is a modified V3; this website sells them and have ordered one without problems. (capital airsoft also has mp40 gearbox)

The selector switch is inaccurate(mp40 were automatic only) .
The cocking handle revealing the hop-up is stiff and is not held in place by a spring.
The battery compartment is fairly small (9.6 V 1600mA is the best I could fit) since it is inside the receiver

FINAL WORDS
I personally love this gun as a WW2 enthusiast; if only they made an mp-41(it would fix the wobbly stock problem)...
