G&G took a chance making a gun that isn't just a copy of TM, their effort to innovate should be commended.
Besides, once the bugs are sorted out (mostly involves a Trigger Master), the G&G M14 is a good platform. The only persistent flaw is that ugly bite taken out of the magazine, but in exchange you get a mechbox that's almost impossible to crack, unlike TM's v7.
I still suspect TM designed their v7 with a significant likelihood of failure when set above 1 Joule.

I ran a TM M14 with stock shell at 450 FPS for an entire year (playing weekly.. none of this "YEA I RAN IT FOR A WHOLE YEAR... I ONLY WENT TO 2 GAMES THOUGH" crap)
Changed the internals... stock shell was fine (and this was before sorbo pads existed)
