That doesn't like anything that has to do with Customs + I think you just got scammed.

Forever_kaos January 22nd, 2010 03:56

Yeah if it hit B.C it would it not be past the Customs border?

Sounds like a scam as Drake said.

cbcsteve January 22nd, 2010 03:58

Customs would not deny a product

If anything they either do 2 things

1. Hold onto it for the longest time ever by poking and prodding it for the longest up to1-2 months and then send it to you

2. Send you the Seizure Notice about pending decision on your package

But they do not send items back only the postal offices do that

Judging by the message

1. You got scammed by the company (Not UPS) UPS does not make address errors

2. The company who sent it was stupid and put the wrong address and asked for that random person to pay for brokerage fee and of course that random person has no clue what it is and refuses to pay

"No I believe her I ship with her all the time she's a very trusting lady, however the cannot be a refund 1)it did make it to Canada and back and 2) I didn't use actual UPS to send, I used USPS but I went to the UPS store to do so, so if I sent through UPS I would be issued a refund. Confusing?? Sorry
"

this lady doesn't make any sense at all

Rock 'N' Roll Outlaw January 22nd, 2010 04:10

Who did you order from? Check their policy regarding refund. Demand a refund within a certain amount of time (24hours, 48 hours, whatever you feel comfortable with) or you will contact the police.

Drake January 22nd, 2010 04:11

Dude, read what everyone posted. "The lady" scammed your ass. It goes something like this:

1. someone sells you some item
2. ship whatever junk to the wrong address, use UPS so there's brokerage fees etc
3. person at wrong address gets a packaged addressed to someone who doesn't live there/they never heard of, delivery guy wants $$$ to cover brokerage fees, etc. Person at the wrong address refuses the package, cuz wtf? right.
4. bogus package gets returned
5. "the lady" is all sorry can't refund, and lolz to the bank with ur monies (aka PROFIT)

cerealmaniac January 22nd, 2010 04:12

private seller. though i don't think it's a scam. they're been responding to my emails promptly.

Drake January 22nd, 2010 04:16

Well I guess everything is fine then.

we'll see. i just think scammers would run once they get the money.lady probably just put down the wrong address.

Drake January 22nd, 2010 04:24

And BTW, the UPS site does NOT track USPS numbers so if the tracking number works on UPS's site it was sent by UPS. And try running the number on USPS or Canada Post's website, I bet they don't work (they would if it was a USPS number).

So your seller is either huffing and puffing some heavy duty crack or is full of shit.

Smart scammers dont want you coming after them so they'll try and convince you its an honest mistake (or maybe they can get you to send even more money for re-shipping)

Kesslan January 22nd, 2010 11:33

Yeah, I call miss delivery on the seller's part given that it went to BC, or scam with a high likely hood of the latter.

pusangani January 22nd, 2010 13:14

how did you pay? if paypal just open a claim

cerealmaniac January 22nd, 2010 13:23

"
Hey tim,

This is Hendrix. Sorry for the delay thanks to Canada customs.
I will repack n re label ur items as toy parts. I will eat the shipping. Just to let u know this is not a scam. It's $80 so if I'm gonna scam someone it will be for more. I'm still at shot show in Vegas so when I get back (Monday) I wil take care of this. I just need ur patience here. I actually didn't know this is going to Canada since it was too late or else in wouldn't have taken ur payment. My bad for not checking. I will email u later for
More details

Sent from my iPhone"

guy seems legit. but no paypal claims never cover anything other than ebay auctions. i've bought a "TM" mp5k on here before and it turned out to be a galaxy. i called the seller and he said he can't do anything about it. paypal refused to give me a refund. this was like 2 years back and i lost $450.

baker_Jeff January 22nd, 2010 13:26

I once had a shipment ($1500USD worth of stuff, $200usd shipping) shipped by UPS, it was "refused entry" by "customs", and sent back. I was MIGHTY pissed off. It was nothing to do with the seller. No one even notified me.

Jeff
