AGM GBBR - replace barrel with WA ones?

If I purchased an AGM GBBR and I wanted to convert it to a CQB barrel, what outer and inner barrel would I be looking at?

Can I use a regular inner barrel (length?) with a WA GBBR CQB outer barrel or something like that?

Would I need to change the A frame/handguard setup? I just want to shorten the barrel.

No, inner and outer barrels of AEG's and GBBR's are completely different.

Both are unique, you can use AEG barrelo via a specialize hopup created by Prime, and cloned by others. Its $80USD though.

The barrel length for CQBR is 250mm, only magna gbbr barrel that has this length is RA-Tech, and JDT Copper barrel. PDI offers 326 or 210mm.

Alright, that solves the inner barrel issue. I'll just use an AEG one with the Prime/clone hop-up.

What about the outer barrel? Is the AGM not compatible with WA outer barrels?

Would this work for a variable length outer?

I've read your FAQ and I know the AGM stock tube is proprietary, but other Magna parts should be compatible with AGM right? I realize AGM is pretty crap but this is only going to be an indoor gun and I'll replace the bolt carrier group and hop-up.

outer barrels for agm/wa are interchangeable. The one you listed will be fine, however if you are planning to use a prime rear adjust aeg hop up for it please keep it mind what a b*tch iit is to adjust it. trust me i know =(

If you are using a regular Knights type RIS with the bottom rail removeable, I'd recommend the AEG hop up by PGC instead as it is easier to access.

edit: what kinda build do you have in mind? also note that that some outer barrels have a thicker base and will affect how some rails mount to the gun.

I went with a G&P CQBR barrel on my AGM and had to use a different barrel nut at the flange at the bottom of the barrel was a different thickness. I ended up using an old PTW barrel nut.

Do you have an AGM or WA? Do you use it indoors at Trek etc? Does Nova316 have a GBB? I thought he did as well. :D

I am considering getting and building a GBBR for an indoor gun, mostly for the Westjet corporate office building games that should be coming up in Calgary in the next few months. It doesn't need to be too rugged or have too much concern with range or any outdoor fieldability. I'll keep AEGs for that.

I would like to shorten the barrel to CQB length and likely swap the handguard for a RIS (unsure of which one at the moment). What would you suggest for this?

I have no specific build in mind other than the classic CQB M4...maybe with the a-frame removed (so a RIS that would cover the extra length because I don't like extra barrel sticking out) and adding flip-up sights in addition to optics.

I have both, well I own WA but my friend's AGM is at my place for storage so =p. Nova had one, for like maybe a coupel days then Gary bought it hahah

If I understand correctly, you want a 9' rail with the front sight removed. If that is the case, a popular choice is the DD MK18 rail, which I happen to run. This will allow you to use the WA type hop up and be able to adjust it without removing the rail. It's the a pretty hassle free setup.

I've used my gun at trek 2x but mainly used it for outdoor last season. You might already know, but if you dont you'd need a NPAS to use it indoors =)

Ps. Rsov has recently released some Vanaras 6.03 tightbore's for the WA m4 for pretty cheap.
