damn, well at leas they are being punished. at first I though that it was a pretty harsh penalty, then I realized that this is what we want, we want the legal system to actually do something to deter them from committing a crime again.

I hate hearing about this. This is why airsoft is getting a bad reputation because of stupid kids like this. Parents really need to stop buying immature kids guns.

Kids really need to lose interest in all the things which make them kids.

Maybe I am missing it but where does it say Airsoft? "air guns that shoot small pellets" that could be other things than airsoft.

+1 for reading comprehension. Pellet =/= BB's. Air Guns =/= Airsoft.

Still, that article was actually alright - just reported the facts without putting a big spin on it. A reporter w/ an axe to grind could have taken that and turned it into a shitfest for airsoft.

It was he .177 cal pellet guns. It specifically says pellets and airguns in the article. It doesn't mention airsoft once.

The girl was hit 20 times and she only suffered welts and some broken skin, do you guys honestly think if she was shit with .177 that she'd be OK?

Plus most of the C02 pellet guns dont have more than 15-18 rd capacity, besides the airsoft ones are alot cheaper.

Regardless if the incident was committed using pellet guns or airsoft in the eyes of the public it's still been done with a TOY GUN which doesn't help the situation.
