Confused! can't decide wich eotech (552/553) for my hk416...
 

aaahhh! I'm so confused.... I can't decide wich eotech552/553 I should put on my HK416....

I'm looking for looks, and function is one better then the other?

PS:they are the ones from Huang's website

PPS: or would a acog be a better choice since I play outside.... and wich one should I get, they are too many on Huang's website

Since you mentioned that you play outside, you may be disappointed with the lack of brightness in any of the "clone-type" sights' reticles be they EoTech, Aimpoint or Trijicon clones. Simply put, the clones tend to wash out when shooting against bright backgrounds as their LED sources just aren't bright enough even on the highest setting. That said, the only difference between the 552 and 553 clones is the 553 has ARMs QD mounts and sits a little bit highter on the rail than the 552 which uses the standard thumbscrew. Both of these sights have infinite eye relief, zero magnification and are meant to be used both eyes open at relatively close engagement ranges.

On the other hand, the ACOG clones are usually 3x or 4x magnification and thus are more suited to longer distance shooting, have significantly shorter eye relief (1-2 inch), and may or may not be bright enough for your purposes but they do look the part if that's your thing.

Since all of the airsoft clones will share similar performance and since you seem to be more interested in esthetics than function with your 416, have a look around in the various media galleries, user-supplied pictures, etc. and try to decide which one looks "best to you" in your own opinion for what you're trying to do. We're not talking life and death here so I won't get into a debate regarding the pros/cons of the various (and expensive) real steel versions...

Check out the Aimpoint Micro he has, it's super nice. You'll need a rail raiser though if you want to co-witness your irons the Larue copy it comes with is to tall, and no raiser is too low.

For EOTechs, hold out for this one to get copied.

I think I'll go for an acog 4x32 (non illuminated)then... but wich one to choose? so many models.... (huang or ebaybanned?)

I have one of Huangs 4x32 non - illuminated ACOGs with Doc. sight ,great piece of kit !

I heard that the doc sight had a light sensor, or they would shut down when you put the cover.... is that true? (on the huang version?)

True ! the sensor is located at the front of the sight which shuts off after the cover is placed on . It also changes the strength of the red dot as light conditions change !
