My capa
08-02-2008 This project has been in my mind for the longest time, always wanted a personalized gun and the marui capa has so many aftermarket pieces to it, so its a lot easier. Gun was obtained through Dracheous (Told you I'd make her beautiful!), and the rest of the parts are just here and there (Thanks again Illusion for getting me a lot of the stuff) 12-30-2008 Coolio, update on my pistol including new pics. Externally hasn't changed much but internally its quite the beast. I haven't had a chance to chrony it but I'm quite sure that its shooting somewhere between 380-400 fps. Chronied it last night, on average it was shooting 317 ish with .25 bb's. I blame the lower fps on the cold room (hush Tyson, I know you're still laughing at me haha. I'll make sure to actually test before I post my findings) Hopefully anyways. Some people don't agree with a hogue grip being on a hi-capa because it looks wrong, but when you hold this pistol it just feels so right. It's my CAPS devoted pistol for the time being and will most likely be thrown into the Open Division when we get that going. I'm still debating if I want to throw optics on because I don't want to drill into my beautiful frame. If any of you want to see this and other awesome pistols in action, come down to TTAC3 and get CAPS qualified, you won't regret it. Once again thank you Brian W. for getting me all the parts to make this thing possible. Now for some pr0n (excuse my photography skills) My awesome pistol case http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x...t/PC300033.jpg http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x...t/PC300048.jpg http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x...t/PC300052.jpg http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x...t/PC300050.jpg http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x...t/PC300053.jpg Custom Rear Sights http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x...t/PC300042.jpg http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x...t/PC300039.jpg Parts list as follows: Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa 5.1 Externals to Internals: Freedom Art 7" Frame with Compensator Freedom Art Front Fibre Sight Shooters Design SHPD Signature Slide Nineball Extended Slide Release Nineball Slim Single Safety PDI Jaggy Trigger Type 3 Shooters Design 5" Steel Outer Barrel Shooters Design Stainless Steel Chamber PDI 6" 6.01mm Inner Barrel Airsoft Surgeon Steel Hammer (Type 8) Airsoft Surgeon Steel Hammer Strut Airsoft Surgeon Steel Sear Airsoft Surgeon Valve Knocker Airsoft Surgeon Lightweight Blowback Chamber Shooters Design POM Enhanced Loading Nozzle Shooters Design Valve Blocker King Arms Metal Rocket Valve Guarder Enhanced 150% Recoil Spring Guarder Enhanced 150% Hammer Spring Hogue Universal Grip Custom work: Stock rear sights with fibre dots installed Modified stock valves to hi-flow valves Bottom of trigger guard filed down for comfort Still Missing: Magwell Nineball hop-up Chamber Packing (purple) Nineball Extended Mag Release She's almost done, then I can leave her alone and start a new project. |

http://img.redwolfairsoft.com/upload...JAGGY3-SIL.jpg I've tried the straight trigger, and it feels much better than the curved ones for some reason. |
looking good. Think it could use different pistol grip though.
|
that is one piece of sexy gun.
how much did the slide cost and how much did the gun cos tin total? |
Nice I like long look of it.
I always like bling cappa's, but then I add up how much it cost to do one up and get cheap and just buy another gun instead. |

What I do remember (and I wish I didn't) is that the slide and the lower extended frame with comp cost me roughly $500. Add on whatever else and then the cost of the gun, it probably cost as much as an upgraded AEG. |
Hi-Capas are definitely blackhole for hard earned dough....which is why I am trying very hard NOT to get another Hi-Capa to build a race gun.....

I was practically drooling when I saw this on Thursday (minus the metal slide). And I agree on the sliver trigger. That would make it look completely badass. I'm so very jealous of you right now. haha

Looks nice!
I agree on the flat triggers. I personally like them as well, but the PDI Jaggy Type-2 trigger is also very comfy and seems more effective at countering some trigger issues I've seen. |
Updated, check original post for it.
