KSC G17 Not Cycling
 

Well Stalker's no help, man why do we tollerate that guy :).. so I seek the help of you the awsome asc community...

KSC G17, stock, plastic slide, 2 new mags... Bought as parts gun, then worked out what it would cost to replace what was missing, so it has all its parts, just put it back together.

its finally not shooting out all its gas, but its not cycling at all, no blowback, just shoots the bb and thats it.

Any ideas to the cause?

Valve inside the piston?

Shit man, you bug me at work while I'm in the process of leaving to go to my second job (fixing guns) and you give me a very vague description of the problem..................... surprised we put up with YOU!!! Knob!!!

Check out the inside of the blow back chamber, make sure the rocket valve isn't busted.

Good idea, ill check the blowback assembly, Im sure I just put that one together but it was the 19's that I did.

Rocket valve is good.

Anyways, checking other options, it looks sound, hammer assembly seems to work better then before, everything is in order... odd, just wont blowback. Mag pressure?

thats... very odd. The only time Ive ever seen a glock not cycle is when its expelling all the gas on the first shot. You have another blowback unit you can install and test with?

umm, yea Ill take the one out of my G19 and try it, good idea. YES it is a very odd problem. I am checking out one other possibility, but I will for sure swap units quick.

Nope.. swapped trigger return bar springs, and blowback chambers, does not work in the 17, both work fine in the 19... weired!!!

Well I dont feel like messing with it too much more, I got college work to do lol.. Those age verrified look for it AS IS in the Sale section.

I mean, extremely odd. Im looking at my KSC hammering system right now and it really appears that the only way to get the mag to release only one shot's worth of gas it to have the slide cycle as it should and pull back on the hammer, to release pressure on the mag's valve. If the slide doesnt cycle, in theory the mag should expell all its gas. Unless the valve was somehow pushing the hammer upwards, and in doing so, relieving pressure, but thats very unlikely, and for your symptoms youd still need something to go wrong in the blowback unit. This is like... very weird. You have tested with different mags?

Received 2 brand new mags today... Does same thing with both. I mean it is occationally shooting a bit of gas after, but it completes the shot, doesnt blowback, and does nothing. Recock, shoot ,same thing.

Occationally, the trigger locks, and if I were to pull it forward, then it starts to expell gas... The trigger assembly I have just reassembled completely again and to no avail, its working normally without slide. This is so wiered...

ok.....uhhh... parts gun. That'd be my solution.

OK, not that this seems to make any sence at all... but in the box I got, there was this little square plastic peice with a hole through it, looked like it didnt go anywhere with the gun at all, no clue what it did, its still in the box back home.

Im sitting here looking at my G19 and G17 side by side, and I notice a small gap in the top of the 17's hammer assembly, where on the 19 this is filled by this small shim that looks EXACTLY like this stupid little peice... This piece is not on the G17 Chart, nor on any replacement parts lists... COULD THIS BE IT... Look at ur G17 hammer assembly Credo, to the exact left of the hammer, is their a lose peice in there?
