The brand TSD any good?

TSD, i never heard of it or much about it, is it really good or reliable? Like the AKS-74U that shoots 330-350 fps out of the box...

TSD just rebrands Asian manufacturers, they don't produce. So the trick is to figure who made the gun before TSD slapped their name on it.

TSD is made in China. I get one on USA, it is really good one. very powerful and very good feeling and cheaper.

I picked up a TSD M4A1 a while back for 120 bucks. Came with a clear reciever, did a couple coats on it in black and gave it a nice finish and she turned out nice. Chronies 290's consistantly and is pretty darn accurate. I was pleased with it for the price! It's certainly no TM or STAR, but for 120 bucks, can't go wrong, in my opinion

TSD generally re-brands SRC rifles. 1st generation SRC's were pretty sucky. 2nd generation SRC's, which are what's available now, are damn nice in most respects. Not quite CA/TM/ICS type quality, but much better than JG/Echo's. Right between the two genres and getting better with each release. A lotta bang for the buck.

Off the top of my head, TSD has rebranded AIM, WELLs, KART and Cyma. It really depends on the model in question. A clear M4 is almost certainly AIM, while a AK-74U sounds like Cyma.

I purchased a clear M4 from the states that I gave to my brother, and he is very pleased with its performance so far. It came packaged as a TSD, but appears to be a Well R6. For $ 39 US or so + shipping and brokerage, with a battery, charger and sling, you can't go too wrong for a back-up.

I have a TSD tuned ICS AK74... let's just say... I wont ever need another AK... EVER.

360-375 STOCK (as in, I haven't done anything to it), shimmed, and comes with unique trades (SSR-85C-2, Arsenal/Armory USA).. Awesome piece of kit.

Thanks for the info guys

TSD Colt 1911s are re-branded v2 Caspian WE.

Drache January 29th, 2008 12:14

check out my review on the TSD SD700 (VSR-10 Clone)! For half the price of a TM VSR, TM compatible, and shoots 450fps right from the box! All it needed was a little Krylon to replace their shiny black.

if you're getting TSD, make sure you're getting one of their "tactical" versions IMO... they have 2 different subdivisions of their products: TSD Tactical and TSD Sports. A friend of mine has the TSD Sports M14... bad news.
