m4 30rnd star mags help
I find the mags are not feeding, thinking the spring is not strong eanough, how do you get spring out to stretch it with out breaking mag
|
Check your hop-up first, some mag malfunctions are due to excessive hopup.

Are they old or new? If they're new, STAR mags sometimes need some lubing and working in before they work well. Mine (AK mags) fed terribly the first time I used them then the second time with a bit of lube, they fed much much better. Haven't tried the third time yet, but it's worth a try if they're new. Load and unload them a half a dozen times or more at least and see if there's any improvement.
If they're old, the spring is definitely a suspect. There's a guide somewhere on how to add weight to them which talks about how to take them apart and put them back together. Do some searching... |

I don't mean to hijack your thread, but quick question. Will star mags work ok in a ICS mp5? I was planning to get some low caps for it.

I am using an 11.1 battery, and the only mags that can keep up with it good are star mags,

The mags are brand new I'm going to work the spring in alittle and lube them see if it helps metal body TM gear box
