Install Hurricane high flow valve in KSC G19 magazine
 

I just bought some extra magazines for my KSC G19 and also purchased some Hurricane high flow valves to go with them. I was wondering if anyone could give me some directions on how to install the high flow valves (I've never done it before and couldn't find this information with a search).

Alternatively, if you have some scrap metal or and old/crappy screw driver and access to a grinder, you can make a toolbit that will fit.

Good idea would be to buy some automotive gasket sealer stuff (kinda like silicon jelly) that is used to provide a better seal for gaskets on engine blocks. If you are careful, you can use good needle nosed pliers to unscrew the stock valve (careful, it's brass and quite soft). Once out, you put a small bead of the gasket gel onto the threads, and screw it in place. Then you can put some silicon oil in where the gas comes out and some around the release valve's 'button' then work it in & out a coupel dozen times. Leave it overnight, then try filling it and see if it leaks.

So the valve just unscrews?

Best to make sure it's not petroleum based, just in case it get on your O-rings. Not sure what I have, but it hasn't caused problems yet and I've fixed many a GBB/NBB mag with it.

Har har. What I found was Permatex Form A Gasket Sealant, Non-Hardening. It says it's for Flanges and Threaded Connections. Sound ok?
