i really like it are you planning on putting anything on those rails.

The Saint December 11th, 2005 01:54

Dang, if that had been a CA36C, I'd have jumped all over you for its original folding stock.

I don't think I'll be putting anything on the rails except for a vertical grip -- and that's only if I get a drum mag for the G36K!

FYI the current stock I have right now, in it's most compact postition, is just as short as a G36C stock.

You can get a 9.6V 2000 mah Medium sized battery and have a compact G36C shooting at 400fps with a high rof.

With other battery options out there, the only way to power-up a gun without using external battery hook-ups, would be to use a LiPO battery.

LiPOs are much more expensive and are quite delicate.

Yeah, the stock included a long wire adapter to connect the front small tamiya connector and extend it to the rear.

I chose to bypass this so save on electrical resistance. I just re-wired the gun to the rear and did a direct deans electrical connection. I also converted by battery's connector to Deans.

To tell you the truth, I think some time in the future I'll convert all my guns to Deans battery connectors

Very nice look--love it! How is the balance now? Much better?

Kind of a silly question, but I wanted to confirm: with the battery in place, you can't fold the stock, right? (Without stretching your wires, for example.) Without a battery, I assume you can fold the stock with no issues (just by looking at the pictures).

That's right... with the battery in the stock, you can't fold the stock without stretching the wires.

However, with the deans battery connectors, if the wires are accidently stretched beyond their length, the Deans connectors would slide and disconnect to prevent any damage.

The G36K's balance is much better now. It actually feels more like a rifle.

I wonder if this rifle up for sale like your other ones you posted :P

Raygis LasVegas December 12th, 2005 13:09

HeHe. Since most of my crap is up for sale, I just like to hear what people thought of my creations!

Funny story...
I've got the same stock on mine G36K, but I used the included wire set to run the battery in the stock. G&P was very generous with their wiring. Lots there so I ensured I left a little extra at the flex point to allow for a folded stock....
Cheers

I just thought of something... It'd be really interesting to see a g36 receiver mated to an AK47 stock, fore grip, and barrel.

Nice G36, though, Raygis. I'd tap it.

WOAH! wait! This shit's OLD! Wow.... Grave Digger!

Lerch April 1st, 2007 05:25

Aww Whodini's a necrophiliac! ;)
