Painting your MOLLE

So I have this ACU plate carrier, and I'm thinking of spraying it with Olive, Brown, and Black to match my mask and gun.

Anyone here painted their vests? How did it go? Any advice would be welcomed :)

it works well but will obviously wear away with use around the edges and contact areas

If you're a good painter it'll look great.

If you can't paint it'll be the most embarrassing piece of kit ever made.

When you're done post photos and we'll let you know which it is.

I'll take some before and afters for you :)

Hitting it with one color would look decent, and most likely pretty cool after it starts to wear... multiple colors however I'm not so sure about...

See if you can't hunt down some sort of fabric paint. Krylon has a tendancy to absorbed by the cloth materials before it even starts to really show up, until you saturate it. You'll end up using a crap ton of paint, even more if you want it to look even.

I painted a ucp backpack a while ago

You're best off using modelling paint, like Humbrol Enamels.

I've painted a few bits and pieces by hand, after that it leaves a layer that you can spray over to make a pattern if needed.

Just remember not to apply it thickly.
