Shoots to the right

My gun shoots to the right, Is this normal?

ThunderCactus July 28th, 2013 17:26

no it is not.

Thenooblord July 28th, 2013 17:29

more detail? does it shoot to the right of your sights? or do the BBs hook right? one is a sights issue, the other is a hopup issue

redzaku July 28th, 2013 17:35

or you can live with it and compensate it like this guy did

anyways did you do anything to it, did you clean the barrel?

Gato July 28th, 2013 17:55

Have you adjusted the hop-up or the sights at all? or did you yank it out of the box and expect it to adjust itself?

Burger July 28th, 2013 18:11

I've adjusted both my hop up and my sight. By examining the gun I think the air nozzle sits in the bottom left corner of the hop up. so I'm thinking the BB may be getting pushed to the right.

ThunderCactus July 28th, 2013 18:34

your hop rubber is likely not installed correctly or torn, or you may have a burr in the barrel

HKGhost July 28th, 2013 19:09

I think your bucking is not centered in your hop up chamber. There's always a few millimeters of movement that can offset the bucking and throw off your bbs. Pull out the chamber and look down to see where the nub is sitting. Turn the barrel and adjust it so the nub is centered.

I opened 'er all up and my gearbox is sitting on an angle to the left could that effect it?

Yes.

It's a lonex gun and gear box.

Lets take a step back,
what weight bb's are you using? On even the calmest day .12 CT bb's will not fly straight.

Burger July 29th, 2013 00:36

.25's

Oshiha July 29th, 2013 01:51

Make sure your gun is leveled..
I did this mistake when I noticed BB's were hooking right, but then I noticed that the bipod was a few millimetres off on the right leg - making the gun slightly tilted to the right. Tried a new bipod that had good level, and it shot straight again.

What brand are these bbs?
