Need help with AEG barrel diameter

Hello all, thanks for your help

I am looking to upgrade my Maruzen APS2 with an AEG barrel.

There is however a small tube the inner barrel must go through in the outer barrel.

The diameter of the tube is 8.2 mm.

Can anyone with calipers do me the favor of measuring your AEG inner barrels and noting the size and manufacturer. Looking at something in the 460-500 mm length

Or if someone has a reference chart to the outer diameter of various AEG inners.

Please and thanks, Jamuke

I've found a Madbull 6.01mm and a stock TM 6.08mm to be both 8.48mm. Also measured a cut off piece to be at 8.46mm.

A bigger problem than the barrel outer diameter would be getting the barrel to work with the hop up unit. The ends of AEG and APS2 barrels are cut differently and AEG barrels are not compatible with the stock APS2 hop up unit. PDI makes a hop up chamber that lets you use AEG barrels, it's somewhat expensive but it's an excellent starting point for upgrading your gun's accuracy, especially since it lets you use AEG hop up rubbers as well.

Thanks, I am getting the AERO chamber for AEG barrel.

If that's the case, I got two stock AEG barrels out and measured them to be (8.52 ± 0.03)mm (JG) and (8.50 ± 0.05)mm (uncertain manufacturer, bought second hand) respectively.

The only random piece of inner barrel I have around is a AEG spec GHK AKM inner barrel, and its 0.355" or 8.51mm...
