what type of boots for sniping?
hi, I was just wondering what types of boots you snipers/ people who snipe use with a ghilliesuit on? I am wondering what ideas i could use to make my boots ( which are black) look more camouflage.
|
I don't bother with the boots too much. I try to make sure my Ghillie is long enough to cover them. You could die them to a more greenish colour if you really wanted to.

Get some jungle boots.
Get some shoe goo. Get some burlap, camo stuff at an outdoor store works well. Shoe goo the burlap onto the back of the boots so it hangs down around the boot when in the prone, then shred it up a bit. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...y/ghillie2.jpg |
Sweet pic man, and yeah, that's basicaly your best bet.

I painted my chain saw boots black and got them good and muddy (not hard)
Sneakers would work to. For sneaking around :) |
You and your damn sneaking
|
For airsoft games, I would not mind the black boots. People don't look that hard.

Honestly, by the time they can see your shoes two things should have happened; you shot them or they shot you.
Same applies for your gun; if anyone is that close... see above. |
|
A good thing to do is also paint the soles of the boots as well. Alot of the time you are laying with the bottoms of your boots exposed to those walking up behind you. Nothing like a big black size 11 sole looking at you!

tivas are good

I'd use USGI desert boots, possible spray painted camo (even the bottoms) with krylon. Thats if you wanna be a true ninja. Or you can just wear black boots and pretend that people won't notice, it will just make you easier to find. You'd be suprised the little parts of people that make them seen. Part or a black buckle, an ear, a goggle strap, etc...

Terra Wild Siders ... you never know what may hit you

i wonder if those pinks ones come in odd haha they would go good then with the ghillie suit.
|
If you're really that paranoid, here's what one of the local snipers does. Get whatever boots you want and a tube of shoe goo and some nylon netting (1"x1" is preferrable) and glue it on your boots. Then just stick foliage in it and just muddy up the soles.
