What to wear as a sniper?

Ok, I know it has been discussed here, but hthe topics I found didn't quite answered what I wanted to know.

I'm getting my sniper rifle, and I'd like to get a more appropriate load out for it.

My assault load out gets pretty heavy and restrict my movements a little bit... huge mag pouches (1 double and 2 triple!) on a side, a big pouch full of BB, killrag, and other stuff on the left... Thats just way too big to be used to crawl easily and run fast. it also makes laying on my belly quite uncomfortable.

I need to get you advice on a good loadout to get? maybe a vest (could even be the one I already have, but remove the pouches) just for the sake of having a little padding... Ghillie suit eventually, and for the extra 1 or 2 mags for the L96, I put them where? In my pockets?

I also have an old crappy cadpat vest I bought when I first started in airsoft... its light, don't have think pouches, I could put my mags in the rifle mag pouches in it... it might work out well...

So yeah, basically, what do you guys use for a sniper's loadout?

Belt rig, with everything pushed to the back past the hips.

all you need is room for secondary weapon ( pistol ) a extra mag for the pistol.
Small pouch for extra ammo/ mag for the rifle.
some water , snack and a radio.

I used an old CF webbing. It fitted everything nicely and allowed for low crawl.

I now use a stripped RRV with the bib folded in. I put the mouches on the sides and leave the front free. I have yet to finish this setup, but I tried it last game and it was perfect.

Make sure your stuff can be reached when you are laying on it and without having to move a lot.

I like mounting my pouches very high, so when you are laying on your elbows, they are accessible.

Maximise your belt space. But keep it thin. You will spend a lot of time on your side too.

Let me add,,

any time I have needed to go sneaky.. I dumped all gear and just put everything in the pockets of a smock.
Good ones have enough pockets that nothing will rattle and you are free and easy to move.

Ok I'll check the belt rigs out!

For my sidearm, I have a 1911 but it has a problem, BBs don't stay in the chamber... they fall right through... might be the hopup or the barrel I don't know... I'm not sure how to get it fixed, so at this point, I have no backup. Its going to be the L96 only until I find a solution, or get bored and buy a new pistol lol. I also read somewhere on the forum that you can use a stock mounted pouch for an extra mag... TM L96 mags are pretty big, they look almost as big as an AR mag... lol

FOX, when is you next seminar? I absolutely want to attend at least one... and there is no future date announced on the game section.

As Brian said, everything you need should be able to fit on a pistol belt (sidearm + mags, primary mags, utility pouch with ammo, misc gear) and a camelbak for water, which will fit under your ghillie suit.

Next seminars will be held next spring or summer.

I found a post where they show off their ghillies, but yeah i'd like you guys to show pistures of your loadouts without the ghillies so we can see he stuff, not only a bis sassquatch lol.

+1 on running just a belt and putting your pouches on the sides and back. You don't really need much ammo running the sniper role, so you should have lots of room for everything.

If you run a pistol, don't run a drop leg as it'll get caught on everything as you crawl. I find it easiest to have it in a belt holster.

Yeah because all snipers pop fully formed and kitted up from the earth.

He has to start somewhere...

+1 to Brian, belt rig, serpa for pistol
If you plan on crawling around a LOT, you might want to consider a chest rig, it's easier to work from the chest when you're prone

What the f***?

I am asking for advice... I already have my ideas, and i jut want to have people's opinion on what THEY use.

Ever had to ask a question in school? Did your teacher answered "no offense, but if you have to ask, maybe you are just too dumb to do anything In your life, you should just work in a grocery store for the rest of your days"?

If you don't have anything helpful to say, just stay away from my topic.

WOW.... how do you learn without asking? You mean even though Im easily top of my class in my college program I won't make it because theres someone who just showed up at my future employer telling them they have the knowledge needed for the job seared into there mind and theres no point in waiting for someone so stupid as to think that going to school, asking questions and learning...

Im pretty sure it wouldnt be that hard to go check your own profile or any of our respected members on here who are known as airsoft snipers and see if they have ever asked a question...
