Tokyo Marui G18c Gas blow back hop up unit broken
 

I just received this gun a few weeks ago from what I have been reading it should out last most other soft air pistols. I have been having fun upgrading it. But the other day wile shooting the slide became stiff to rack but the gun keep firing. So I decided to field strip it because after shaking the gun It sounded like a broken BB stuck on the inside. Gun would not open then after fighting with it for 10 minuets or so it gave in. A small peace of what looks like pot metal broke off the hop up unit. The peace that hooks the barrel down to the gun frame. The part number for the peace that cracked is 18C-27 I would much rather have a after market hop up unit made of some thing stronger. This is one part that needs to be upgraded for this type of gun firing full auto will high recoil & upgraded springs. Please any help would be great :p Just want a good airsoft gun that wont break down.

I've seen this part break on the Glock 17 as well. This seems to be a fault with the Marui Glock series that hopefully gets fixed in later revisions.

At this time, there is no aftermarket replacement available.

Well had the part replaced then the hammer cracked replaced that part. The TM G18c ran good for about 6 mouths. Then out of know where the hope up unit cracked. I see all my photos are gone that's to bad because my fix did repair the gun for a wile until the part was received. Once again the same hope up unit cracked. So there are after market steel parts for the hammer assembly I seen them on TMC. However this is driving me crazy. I got the Marui glock in the 1st place because how cheaply made most airsoft guns are made. Well at the time I got the G18 c I it was out of order the 1st mouth I got it. I also got a WE Baby Hi capa 3.8 shoot it every day all stock still shoots as good as the day I got it. I will never buy another Marui again. Thanks for all your help & I hope this post helps others.
