[SOLVED] WE GBBR does not shoot when trigger pulled -- shoots when charging handle pulled

I swapped out my plastic body for a metal body and I've been having problems since. If anyone could help (or refer me to a gun doc I could commission), that would be stand up.

Issues:

-Trigger pull feels really weak. When the upper and lower is split (the trigger mechanism is not touching the upper), the trigger pull feels normal

-Gun does not shoot when trigger is pulled.
>Will shoot when the charging handle is pulled back (only after the trigger is pulled)
>Will not shoot when the charging handle is pulled repeatedly without any trigger pulls

Other info:
Problems arose when I moved the parts from a plastic lower to a metal lower. Trigger unit was dropped (fell out of gun because the trigger box pin was loose) though it appears nothing was damaged or missing (seems to function normally when not inside the gun).

When I was watching your video it almost seems like your valve-striker assembly is not functioning properly. Thats where I would start as it seems problematic to me..

I would also check your white Teflon center-er on your bolt carrier to see if it hasn't moved forward. I had the same problem on my rifle when the Teflon moved forward. When I pulled the trigger it would not fire, but when I pulled the charging handle back, It would fire..

Hope that helps in some way..

Part 66 might have broken.

I JUST fixed this problem on Davin's WE M16
See that white teflon block? Slide it back, takes quite a bit of force, but it will move. For some reason it moves forward on some WE's and doesn't seem to be locked there by anything else but friction. I'm going to put a set screw in Davin's so it doesnt move anymore

I had that teflon block move after 7 mags worth (200 + bb's). For that teflon block I superglued it to where its supposed to be and let it set for a few hours... iv run about a good 500 rounds through it since then and it hasnt even budged.. just make sure that when you do do that ... to take out the valve tube (the black tube :D) and put it back in after.. got this idea from the WETTI technical summary thread.

you might drop the little spring that goes with part #66.
the white plastic block is one bugger when it moved forward.

ya i agree the best thing to do i found when movie it back is to take out the valve and valve tube so just the block and the bolt carrier are left and then stand the bolt carrier on the back end place a screw driver on it and give the screw driver a few taps (not to hard tho) i did that and it will eventually go down.

Thanks for the input. It was in fact the white teflon block that had slid forward. Couldn't move it back with my hands so I used a slotted screwdriver and hammered it back in at a 90-degree angle.

Had a similar problem to this with my WE, will be superglueing it again tomorrow night. The first attempt didn't set properly and it moved on me again. :(
