TF7?
Well, here I go asking again.
Is the tactical force tf7-well r4 mp7 a good gun Heres the info... http://buyairsoft.ca/catalog/product...roducts_id=290 Heres where I plan to buy it from... https://www.cabelas.ca/index.cfm?pag...2=1387&ID=5550 As far as the gearbox goes, its a metal gearbox, a v3 I have heard. What do you guys think? |
Aside from the neatness factor (if you like the MP7 pistol/smg thing)...they are utter sh*t.
They're underpowered, sound like they're dying even with a fresh charged battery and they parts have a creaky/lousy fit. If you can get past all that...knock yourself out. If you consider those traits to make a "good-enough" AEG...sadly, you're missing out on a whole other world... |
There isint really a definition of a good gun since if you have a 100% clone you can just modify the hell out of it and make it perform better than the original but TM has a way better version of the mp7
|
Very Bad gun the TF7 , already got 2 and both Broke unless a month !
|
Also, it's not a V3 gearbox. It's a mechbox design of it's own, really an AEP gearbox, not an AEG gearbox.

@SomeRandomGuy, Wait 3 years, save your money, then buy a real AEG that isn't going to break on you. |
Only 1 customer has yet to notify me with problems with one of these. I wouldn't really recommend them.
|
Really? aw man, the mp7 is awesome.
Believe me, if I knew where to get a marui mp7, and could get it, I'd get it. Also, I'm okay with it being a smaller gun, they still make hardened springs for them, or I could just use 0.12 gram bbs because the power is low enough, and there is a store in Surrey that can custom make batteries for you, which I could do if the rof is kinda slow for me. I think I might try it. |

0.12's are HORRIBLE. And bad for your gun because they're generally shit and malformed. |
No one makes good 0.12's. And using bad 0.12's will damage your gun (not to mention they don't shoot straight). Go with 0.20's minimum.

The mechbox in the MP7 (TM and clone) isn't designed to be upgraded. It's possible -but only if it's done well and correctly. You can get a TM MP7 in the classifieds on this forum. You just have to wait until you are 18. ASC does not generally support the aquisition of airsoft guns by minors. So don't expect anyone to help you to get one. |

But no one buys those. |
Like others said wait 3 years and buy a GOOD gun not some craptiastic gun lol
and save up your money for that time so you can afford the very high end gun, make sure to go to games and try out what kind of weapon you like first intstead of paying 500+$ for a model you dont like the feel of it |
It's a decent CQB/backup weapon but its power is limited so don't expect a lot out of it.
|
I know its power is limited, I don't expect a whole lot out of it,I just like mp7s in general (and they look like the smg in halo, but thats not important). Besides, I'll be happy as long as I can feel the shots.

It really sounds like you've already made up your mind. We're telling you the gun is crap and generally not worth the money. If you didn't want to hear that you shouldn't have asked. We can't tell you what to do with your own cash. |
Well, since I couldn't find a GOOD p90 ( other than the d90) I sorta set my hopes on the mp7. I know a guy who is into airsoft and is usually my go-to guy for advice, but he had no idea about this gun, so he said I should ask you guys first. But, if not this gun which one then?
|
Oh, and I meant the d90 is shitty, typed it wrong, and the tf7 is $81.99 right now
|
Wait until you're 18, the you'll be able to find good guns of all types.
I told you before. Your best access to good airsoft guns is in the ASC Classifieds, which you have to be 18 and age verified to view. Considering 90% of hosts won't allow those under 18 to play, it's not like you'll be missing much in the meantime. Save your money, wait until you are 18, then drop $500-$1,000 on a kit you'll really enjoy. And please, don't give me any of this "I don't want to seriously get into airsoft" BS (not that you will, it's just a common newb counter to our "airsoft is expensive" truism). A good gun and good kit is like night and day to a cheap gun and no kit. If you really want to enjoy this hobby, save your money and wait. |
Well, I might get this gun, damn deciding is hard!! so many guns...
|
I give up.
Mods, can we make a new rule that states "If you're going to ask for advice and completely ignore it, don't bother posting."? |
I have that exact gun...... well its not very good, the stock does not lock in place sometimes, it sounds like it is dying and you cant replace any internals. I bought it to try out airsofting itself, I CANT wait to get an actually good gun this summer
|
To the original poster. If youre going to ask for advice and then ignore it when offered, please discountinue the using this website. Statements have been made and reenforced by members of this website of the items quality and upgradability. If you continue to swat away and disregard information, you will find that the members of this website will become reluctant (at best) to assist you.
Allow me to reiterate to you the info that has already been given to you. -The MP7s internal design is that of an AEP mechbox not that of an AEG. -It is an upgradeable gun however parts are difficult to find and even more of a pain to install. Installing a higher strength spring in an AEP mechbox will up the chances of its failure due to its design. -The only way to use a custom battery with the MP7 would be to purchase an external battery kit and rewire the gun to house the battery externally in a PEQ some form of battery bag. TokyoMarui produces a good quality MP7, infact they were the first to make an airsoft MP7, all other companies simply copied their design. TokyoMarui is known for using quality parts and maintains a good level of quality control on their products. All other clones and smaller asian companies buy their parts on bulk from the lowest bidder and assemble their items for hasty sale with little to no quality control. You may recieve a lemon or you may recieve one that will work just fine. The use of a lighter weight BB (0.12g) may increase your FPS but FPS is not everything. Due to the light weight of the BB simple things like wind and leaves will easily deflect and alter the course of the BB flight path. It would be recommended to atleast use a 0.20g bb. Finally in closing, Im sure you are farmiliar with this websites rules and policies in regards to airsoft. ASC and the majority of its user base strictly maintains airsoft should only be purchased and owned by those who are of the legal age of consent in this country. That age being 18 years. Please do not ask questions in regards to what is a good gun or how good a gun is or where to aquire an airsoft gun on this website because it shows that you do not care or respect this websites policy. |
