Oh man, I love what Nerf is doing! I've owned 2 of those Longshots, I used to mod all of my many Nerf guns, but after airsoft, it's just... not the same..... I'll still be buying the new Recon when it comes out though :P

Just one thing.... with the overly sized body of that thing.... there must have been a way to fit that mini battery SOMEWHERE else than under the carry handle...

looks like he got lazy and put it in a simple spot that he could access quickly to change the battery, when i finish mine it will look and operate much better...

Before I could responsibly buy airsoft, I was really into the nerf mods. I have every N-Strike gun, plus some of the oldies that I haven't sold yet... I'll post pics of a few of them when I can resize and touch up the photos. But for anyone out there doubting the complete manliness of Nerf, and the capability of Nerf engineers, I give you the Nerf EBF-25 Vulcan. Urg, nerf longshots had so much potential... The feeding system is crap though, primarily because the foam darts are too flexible and like to twist or bend out of place after a good amount of use (or forcing them in a jam situation). If they'd used a plastic sleeved dart (like bubble tea drinking straws), it would've been so much better.

Also, Omega!, where the hell can I get me one of those?

Sorry guys, the Vulcan is set to be released in the USA in fall 2008... as for us, seeing as we still don't have the nerf Recon, I'll have to ask around to see if we get either of them this side of the border... I've ben seeing an alarming lack of Longshots and the other big'uns for awhile... I just hope Canada hasn't wimped out and said they look too real or dangerous....

In any case, for all those interested in modding nerf, it's ridiculously simple, just start with the Nightfire or Diskshot. I'd recommend trying:
