Import SVD in to Canada.

I found metal+wood Zastava Dragunov on a German web site, they are okay with shipping it to Canada, but as I read from FAQ there were cases where airsoft guns were seized on the border.

Do you know what are the chances of this to happen with this kind of weapon?
And other question, what are the taxes on imported items to Canada?

AngelusNex February 8th, 2008 16:15

well seeing how it's real metal and wood I don't see how anybody would mistake it for a real gun or anything

Just looking at these replys it looks like you have a 50/50 chance I'd say.

Kos-Mos February 8th, 2008 17:24

I would say more like a 0/50+50 chance....

We should just start encouraging them to go ahead. Let them learn that way lol.

Support our retailers! You will actually get what you order!

?

0/ 50+ 50 = 0/100

not so confusing i don't think

Styrak February 8th, 2008 18:33

0/50 + 50 = 50!

Skladfin February 8th, 2008 18:35

0 is the chance of the importing successfuly
50 is the chance of importing unsuccessfuly
the other 50 is added to the change of importing unsuccessfuly!

Cushak February 8th, 2008 18:42

Should be written : 0/(50+50). Styrak was right, jeez man.

(I kid.)

Styrak February 8th, 2008 19:01

trying to import airsoft = confiscation + your name on a terrorist watch list.

Fuck, thats sux.

I would gladly support Canadian retailers, but the only store that had it, is 007, and they don't order it anymore. So, or I get it from Europe/USA or I don't get it.
If someone knows any store that actually sells this gun in Canada please let me know.

And the risk of playing with ~ $800, I can not really afford.

P.S. stupid Canadian laws.

Im gonna be nice and not flame.

Don't try it:
1) You cannot import airsoft without BFL License
2) AK and it's Varient is illegal under the Canadian firearms law if you want to make it over 500fps and import as firearm
3) Learn by using search function or goto FAQ section
