Customized Peices from Movies
I was looking for the beautiful revolvers from the Movie "Payback" With Mel Gibson. I couldn't find any pictures but he uses it throughout the film, if anyone has seen it he purchased the gun at a pawn shop near the early parts of the film. It looks like a M19 combat magnum with some customized grips, if anyone knew what these grips were called or someone that carried them it'd be great.
Another peice was the Customized M9 used in Romeo and Juliet (1996). it seems to have a compensator and a golden barrel. But what i was looking for was the custom designed grips. They had a picture of Mother Mary on them. -Hax |
Para Ordnance did all the R&J guns. Someone asked me about them too, because I know the daughter of the owner, I asked her to ask her pops for me, but I guess she never got around to it.

While there are quite a few sites around that are English the majority of airsoft is in / from / made in Asia. Consequently a lot of the pages won't be English. Best bet is to try BabelFish page translation on those sites. http://babelfish.altavista.com/ |

Wasn't using sarcasm intentionally.
If under a tighter budget could a Mauri M9 EBB be modified?. Saying this because i have an M9 EBB just to bring to indoor games, and probably selling it soon. Can the slide be replaced with a gold one and a couple of custom grips?. It may be a dumb question but thought i'd ask it anyways incase someone knew, Possibly if thats not able to be modified would there be a retailer that sells the gold or silver slides for the M9 GBBs? Cant seem to find any that do. |

There are silver slides for various M9 GBBs, havn't seen any gold ones though. |
Mhm... Damn. The gold was what i was aiming for. I'll keep looking. Thanks guys.

I guess you didnt buy her enough flowers :D |
you COULD take the slide to a car dealership and ask to have it "gold" plated. the guy they have do it can gold plate anything. it might cast at least $50 or more, but if you plan on keeping it go hard. but as grim said, dont waste your time making an ebb ricey. buy a gbb and do what you want to it and it wont be ghey.
|
if you had the slide plated would it not change the thickness of the slide so that it might not slide or the blow back chamber would fit incorectly?
|
|
dont bother, its an EBB, about the lowest form of airsoft, even lower then springers.
If your going to modify, I suggest invest in a nice GBB. modifying an EBB is like trying to modify this http://x11.putfile.com/4/11008002295.jpg now, if it was a GBB or AEP instead of an EBB, it might be a better idea. |

Yea,
About to buy a M9 military from TM, gold plating the slide might be a toughie. Taking it to an engraver might do the trick as they plate lighters and pens and sorts. Had my black zippo plated with a gold playboy emblem. Just a thought. |
Wouldnt a FMU gun be better for plating? Just a thought.
|
Plz do. I really want to make that Rapier and keep it as a show piece.
|
A Full metal probably would be best. I'm going to give the Key Man Engravables a call and see what they can do. The compensator is gonna be hard to get on though. made man a good model im checking into making right now to make that rapier or anything close to it would probably be a HFC M190 Special Force with Compensator. I assume that the compensator is metal as well so it could also be plated. KJ Works M9 would work as well. As long as you dont mind having it without a compensator. This is probably gonna cost me around 500 with the gun... :|
|
Dont forget the custom grips.
And... rapier was my idea... nooooo!!!! Make something else, lol. Closest things is that HFC... buuut, it's a HFC. It MIGHT be possible to mod WA's compensators for 92f. |
Yea,
Im trying to make that revolver in Payback. I think its just a basic M19 Combat Magnum with custom chestnut grips. The grips for Tanaka revolver are hella hard to find. Anybody got a retailer that gets in grips for Tanaka Revovers?. Or would real steel grips work?. -Hax |
You can always get your local woodshop guy to make a pair for ya.
|
I'll look into that actually.
Another option aside from Plating might be to dye the slide. Its not the best option, but it will still look half decent. Not as realistic looking as a plated one. |
