I really want an MP5 GBBR. VFC or WE?
So as the title says, which one of the two manufacturers has the better platform? I'm looking at WE mostly at the moment, not to mention RA-TECH will release parts if they haven't already.

VFC all the way.....
I had mp5a3, SD and K WE is shit and slow ROF.... Quote:

My buddy has the MP5A2 by VFC and I have used it plinking and sadly haven't gamed it but crap that gun is amazing! Feel, ROF and externals. The only issue I have with the gun in that the hop up adjustment requires the gun to be field stripped. But lets be honest here once you have that set you won't be mucking about with it.
|
That would depend on the player and i guess the gun too. My bolt action as an example will need way less hop on .43's when its hot out vs when its cold out. But i guess lower velocities and lighter bbs will need less messing with and after the first cpl shots the rubber will be cold/hard so will be about the same regardless of temps.
and my vote is also for the vfc. It is a much nicer looking gun. |
I have the we. Isnt too bad. Weird that they screwed up the mag dimensions though. Its not like its their first gun or anything.
I do not own the vfc so i am not really going to get into that. |
There two VFC packages FS on the classifieds, I'm sure you can negotiate a lot, one of them has been up for almost a year lol.
They aren't popular guns, but the finish of it is top notch, great weight, and gets my vote. If you plan on re-selling later, you probably won't get what you paid for it. |
I head VFC mags are shit and are prone to leaking ...this true? VFC users?

Gen 2, 3, no. |
One of my buddies mags leaked however that is after it had no gas in it for a month. Other than that they all have held up rather well.
|
Funny thing is my GHK mags leaks even before my VFC mags leak :(
|
That is so true lol

NP, make sure you clean it out first.
Glad Stan was able to help you. |
Clean it out in what way exactly?
|
Just strip and clean, maintenance you go ape shit on it, I always recommend it for gbbrs.
|
Vfc hands down over WE.
|
gun needs to break in, there will be dirts after you break in the gun, need to clear it and lube

I'm just going to warn you, when you strip it down to clean it out, check the bolt. I had a Maruzen MP5K and the bolt had broken because of a stupid design that makes it absolutely impossible to use propane with. Tiny little plastic ring guiding the bolt on the guide rod that snaps under the higher pressure, rendering the gun USELESS.
Not to put you or the gun down, just recommending you check it out before you break it. Could be different for you, I don't know - just a heads up. A couple minutes could save you a lot of trouble. Quote:
