Best way to attach a Flash light to an AK47
What's the best way to hook up a flash light to an AK47 wood. Anyway to wire it to the trigger/near the trigger?
|
Duct tape.

Get a flashlight with a pressure switch attachment
|
Ak's don't need flashlights, you just shoot full auto till the handguard catches fire. Otherwise you can mount a rail with wood screws, and mount your flashlight inside a scope ring, and attach it.
|
Short of attaching rails to your wood furniture, or swapping your existing furniture for tactical versions with rails, get a barrel flashlight mount, like the following:
Amazon.com: Universal Barrel Mount For 1" Flashlight laser: Sports & Outdoors For remote operation, the flashlight would need a remote pressure switch. Depending on the taclight model & manufacturer, the remote switch may come with the light, otherwise it is a separate purchase. And if you intend to game with it at night, don't forget pick up an IR/red filter to minimize blowing your night vision. |

Most easy way is via barrel with one of these:

Black Electrical tape! Did it on my AkS-74U! Or, you could bastardize it with those railed AK handguards.
|
for night games i have a mount that attaches to my gas block. universal gun mount.

I've also seen ones that connect right to the forward sights. I can't remember the site. But they do exist.
|
Well for now i just have it taped to the front grip =P

**handguard

you know, i remember seeing a gas tube that included a flash light and laser, said it was supposed to replace AK gas tube but can't remember where...
|
just zip tie it

Ou, that one looks nice
|
Honestly, Tape it up where the barrel and gas tube are parallel, and use those weaponlamps with the pressure switch extention. Keeps it low profile to the gun and out of the way!

If you have a wooden lower hand grip, depending on the availability of space in the lower grip you may be able to literally integrate a flash light into the handle. You would need to find a carpenter that can bore out a hole large enough to house the batteries and get a hold of a small led flashlight for parts. Salvage the parts out of the flashlight, you will want to keep everything except the case. Take the lights and countersink them into the handle the best you can. Drill a small hole through the grip to where you have the batteries stored, if the flashlight had the batteries connected to the lights via plate on plate contact then solder a set of wires to connect them, speaker wire should work. then all you need to do is set the pressure switch . just drill a hole through the rest of the grip and attack as needed.
I think it would be really cool if you did this, or no guarantees, if I had the grip I could do it. This would defiantly be cool though and one of a kind to boot. |
That would be cool =p but my gun won't allow that haha. I just taped the flashlight between the gas return and barrel=P
