S&W M3 Shotgun

I notice that these S&W TM M3 clone shotguns are becoming quite common. I was thinking about picking one up as an alternative to a gas sidearm. Does anyone have any experience with it?

R.I.T.Z July 11th, 2010 18:05

reallly fun. quite accurate, just dont open it up. to my knowledge 99% compatible with tm parts and the like

Jagd July 11th, 2010 18:13

I just got one too, pretty nice stuff especially for CQB, for game outside the velocity is a bit too low, if you want good range. But for CQB the velocity and accuracy is good and it is really fun to shoot! Definately worth getting, Chix Airsoft in the retailer section has some for 110$ plus shipping.

TaroBear July 11th, 2010 18:15

Huh. It surprises me to hear this, since I kind of expected 10 people to tell me that they were crappy clones and fell apart.

thpethalK July 11th, 2010 18:17

I believe the OP is referring to the S&W M3000lone specifically and not the Crossman S34P. The Crossman is the one that is more compatible with TM parts. The S&W uses a magazine to hold rounds as opposed to shells.

TaroBear July 11th, 2010 18:19

No, I'm referring to the short barreled M3. It uses Marui clone shot shells as well.

Spike July 11th, 2010 18:22

Yep, that's the crossman. I tried slinging it as a sidearm one game, but it was too awkward. COD has lied to me :c

On a serious note, it's a nice backup, I ran it as a primary one game and did pretty well.

TaroBear July 11th, 2010 18:33

Well, it has a huge ass buttstock (which I actually like), so i was thinking about a scabbard.

Lol... Well cod lies allot lately. It says the scar is a huge blocky gun but in rl it's allot skinnier. ;)

So where does one acquire cheap shells? Ur bound to lose them

Styrak July 11th, 2010 19:10

I can get you extra shells if you need some.

Spike July 11th, 2010 19:15

You can get packs of shells on ehobby for stupidly cheap. I paid I like $3 for two of them.

Nope it is not, the crosman one is like a M3 shorty with no stock and it is clear, the S&W is the M3 but with a stock and comes all black, not the same. Performance wise they are the same though but the full stock allows for more accurate fire. The full lenght M3 is good as a primary for CQB not a back-up, your back-up is your pistol, in general shotguns are better to use as primarys anyways...

Aegiis July 11th, 2010 19:32

Quite fun to game, try using .28 or .30, accuracy is deadly for such a "cheap" springer, and range is more than decent, I'd say on par with most GBB pistols.

And you can get MOLLE scabards for it :

cooney July 11th, 2010 19:46

That stock will snap, I bought one and you gotta baby the stock and be careful because mine broke on me (stupid plastic).

TaroBear July 11th, 2010 21:47

Hmm. What did you do, saw it off?

cooney July 11th, 2010 23:19

I lightly buttstock hit the couch (it was a soft one) and it snapped. That is pathetic.

Hopefully mine is not as fragile...but for sure it is plastic and for abit more than 100$ I am not exepcting something ultra durable. You need to be cautious...don't fall on it! HEHEHE!

TaroBear July 12th, 2010 00:00

I can't even imagine...like, cookies wouldn't even break if you lightly hit them against a couch.
