Wolf - over on arnies there was a discussion about the sai 1911. A guy named 'squad' had a lot of info about nova/prime and their products sayin there was 10 new styles coming? Plus a new batch of older models in the near future. Plus the new models were to be designed with the '2015 advanced frame'. Is he a credible source? Since u post on that site also.. Good news for new 1911's.. bad news for prices in canada.. |

Everything he said is true! From now all Nova kits will have the "Advanced frame" which is great news! Just a heads up.. Brass kits became illegal in Japan, Japan is the biggest buyer of the brass kits, grab the remaining kits while you can I don't expect to see more of them anytime soon! Luckily I have 4 brass guns!! This is my late surprise Christmas gift WE M1911 floral pattern one. Tho it is not as good as the SAI collections like wolfgeorge, but still the latest finishing version from WE, not bad!

After holding it, enjoying the details of the floral pattern, shooting it, the slide and internals feel so smooth. (only the recoil spring and hammer spring are not strong enough) And the price point, it is much more than worth enough. But one thing I'm pretty sure, is the material still the same as before, may not long lasting. |

Unfortunately the original owner decided to "weather" the gun with a wire brush (complete with bloody tally marks) and has lost apparently lost the end cap. I'm going to end up throwing a shit ton of cash into it to make it nice. I haven't looked inside yet, but Im holding my breath. Next to her is my lovely Detonics. That is a weathering job |
