Strelok... I think a nice steel wool job is in order for that lever action. It would look fantastic.

Nice! Dude, I have the same gun, and I really want to know what sling that is?

It is custom made.I took the strap from an old sling and a hook from
some piece of US gear (dated back to the 50's)found in a junk yard.
Cut the hook using a Dremmel so that it fits in the stock and used the
strap some buckles and the front hook.

Steel wool is a Brillo pad to clean dishes.

Yeah but i guess you need one without soap in it?

I asked because i have some bulldog pads (without soap in it)... They are medium not fine. Wonder if they could work?

Think i will try it on one of my mag.

NO! you want a look of wear.. not scratches..

if you are going to give it the steel wool treatment.. get extra fine steel wool at Home Depot.. and buff the item with the wool balled up into a loose ball.

This will polish the high points .. with enough buffing you will get through the finish but without a scratched finish.

Take your time

Also there is a good product for removing bluing from steel called "Naval Jelly", used it to get this weathered look on my GHK AKM;

Very nice. How is the recoil? Is that a new GHK or the older version?

The new version, with the Samoon hard recoil kit it's a beast; really really fun to shoot.
