Hey;

Strelok... I think a nice steel wool job is in order for that lever action. It would look fantastic.

if you are going to give it the steel wool treatment.. get extra fine steel wool at Home Depot.. and buff the item with the wool balled up into a loose ball. This will polish the high points .. with enough buffing you will get through the finish but without a scratched finish. Take your time |

Also there is a good product for removing bluing from steel called "Naval Jelly", used it to get this weathered look on my GHK AKM;
