To further this conversation, dry firing CERTIAN gbbs will leave neg effects.
Taken note on my 4.3 hi-capa (TM) the hammer strikes the back of the lower assembly if fired w/out mag / gas.
When gas and what not is involved the slide kicks back preventing this the moment the hammer is released.
