I always recommend to new players to not get a sniper rifle as their first gun, typically they get bored of it after a short time and sell it and move on. Get a G&G or JG AEG for around 150-200 dollars to start with, and move your way up slowly from there.

If you want something cool, you can get base m4 variants, and build interesting platforms off of them. Honestly that honey badger looks like crap compared to what you can make with a stock cqb m4 with some after market parts and such. You can do that with hk 416's as well. Another thing you have to take into consideration is do you want the rifle to function like a real one? If so get a GBBR. You don't play competitively so your shouldn't be in a rush.

Go get age verified and grab something off the classifieds, there's tons of stuff available there for cheap and already modified.

OP: The reason people are telling you get an AEG over a sniper rifle is not because we feel you are not operat0r enough to be fielding such a weapon. A stock airsoft sniper rifle basically has no advantage over an AEG. Internally, there is nothing going on that is going to allow you to out range an AEG or beat one in terms of accuracy. You will be stuck with a bolt action weapon, playing against people with upgraded AEGs that are superior to your weapon in every way. You won't have fun.

For a cheap starter AEG, JG is basically the way to go in my opinion.

If you've got your heart set for a bolt action rifle, the Classic Army M24 has had relatively solid reviews. (Disclaimer: I have never owned a bolt action airsoft rifle, the advice I offer here is merely the regurgitation of information I have acquired from other players.)

If you want a "sniper" rifle go get a KJW KC02. Semi auto so you aren't hindered by bolt action, decent enough accuracy out of the box with a few free mods, easy to maintain and fun to shoot.

When you get really serious, you get start modding the gun and get some great results out of it.

Also don't worry about all the people with their panties in a wad in this thread. Most people playing airsoft are fairly chill and just want to unwind on the weekend. If you want to get a bolt action go for it. However somethings to be noted.

Bolt actions are expensive to upgrade
Play style is fairly limited (honestly you can simulate the range of a stock cheap bolt action rifle with some of the pump spring shotguns on the market)
Heavy, long, bulky guns (sometimes)
With the flood of cheap options on the market, you get clones of clones with poor tolerances. This ends up with broken guns, which I have experienced first hand.

An entry level AEG is decent, however there are a number of Gas rifles on the market now that don't cost a whole lot, are more fun than AEG's and perform as good if not better than some electric guns.

However this all comes back to one thing. Get what you want, what feels comfortable to you. Also getting AV'd allows you to access a significant number of guns you couldn't otherwise.
