I'm not entirely convinced that short-stroking by 4 teeth is efficient.

Hiro_pt April 6th, 2014 21:52

why not?
What do you suggest to decrease fps to 350 then?

pestobanana April 6th, 2014 22:02

Use a m110. And yes I'm sure it's a m100, bought it off stealth.

Short stroking in itself does not increase rate of fire much or increase efficiency.

Do what most other people do - use a weaker spring.
I think you've over-engineered the solution.

And pestobanana's right.

Short stroking decreases the piston cycle therefore increasing trigger response and that was what i was aiming for.. It also may increase thw rps slightly.
I'll test it with an m100 that i got here, i don't have any m110 atm..
I went with the m120 to avoid pre engagement, but you are right, it was probably not necessary..
When i have the time i'll try it with the m100 and with a m110 if i cant get one until then.

Thanks for your critics ;)

Short stroking doesn't increase trigger response unless you do it from the release side, even then it's not noticeable. If you're willing to go that far just for trigger response, try some precocking.

I don't believe in pre-engagement from a gun running too fast. I have a gun doing 56 RPS with a M100, no pre-engagement. Ran it at 45 RPS for approx 4k rounds and it's still going strong.
