Yes every modern Assault Rifle has it roots from Early StG44 Assault rifle; principle not design. The Germans designed a round that was between the Mauser and the MP44 because the average engagement distance between soldiers on the battfield was 300 yards compared to 800 in the WWI. Yes the AK was designed on the principles of the 300 yard engagement. A short and fast round 7.62.39 in a weapon system that could delivery mass amounts of firepower by Soldiers in large sections. The StG44 has very tight design specification and precision machined parts. The Ak has large amounts of space between parts this factor alone is why the Rifles are so reliable. Reliability and the compatibility of one AK to another was the original design model.

I thought I remembered reading two different sources ages ago that the Nazis where the ones that developed the 7.62x39mm round, just double checked on a couple different reputable sites and found out I was wrong, thanks for calling me a moron though, really appreciated.

Fact of the matter is the AK-47 is here to stay, its "market penetration" if you will is far too deep for it to be replaced en masse any time soon.

Sorry about that. I've dealt with so many people who were so certain they were right about something, awfully frustrating. But I see that it was an honest and little mistake.

Guns I've hated:
H&K MP5(first gun I've tryed.... I would of prefered throwing the pieces)
Desert Eagle (airsoft wise, no real use other then ego boasting *caugh* )

I've always liked:
Ak series (minus spetznat)
P90 (CQB king-killer)
1911 & M9 (sucker for military issues)
M4A1 (Watched to many movies.... watched to much of Blackhawk Down)

No real use ? I hope you wanna say nothing different than other GBB but the looks because in real steel it has a fucking hell of a real use. It's called killing people with .50

IDF magav use the desi .44 Apparently it's made from some titanium(%80), and some very incredibly strong fibers.
My friend's father was early Israeli magav (1970-1980 I think) before it was issued, but I think he got an oppertunity to do some D&D... Very reliable gun in .357 and .40, .50 is hollywood.

i hate mp5 series, and the damn g3 sg1,

M4/M16, Uzi, DesertEagle.

I like H&K and AK

Italian assault rifles, they are just TOOO ugly to me and the smae applies to most south american produced weapons.

For the longest time i've dis-liked Armalites but recently i've stated not minding them and started disliking the G36, i don't hate it i just wouldn't own or use one by choice.

ARGH any gun produced in South Africa...god pieces of garbage...soo ugly.....

I agree italian suck at design, except for the beretta hand gun series and the CX4 semi auto rifle. They also make nice shot guns. And Benelli makes a nice m3 as well. Anything HK is beautiful EXCEPT the G11, or anything that use caseless ammunition.

Loves: P-90, FAMAS, G36, Sig 552, M14, Sig P226.
Hate: Uzi, m4, m16, desert eagle, and that damn Grease gun (think it was by Hudson) that blew up in my hands.

Armalites with RIS kits.

They really are like the Honda Civic of airsoft guns.
